The main thrust of today’s launch is to announce Videocon’s brand to the UK electrical retail trade and partners. Mr. Abhishek Malpani said, “Our brand focuses on gen next and making the latest technology accessible. We have a track record of manufacturing and selling high-quality, yet value-oriented consumer durables. Our focus is multi-fold – working towards developing the latest technologies with an emphasis on quality, innovation, value and service.”
“In order to get here we engaged with global branding agencies McCann and Interbrand to create a completely new image that would reflect the growing youth market both in our established customer base in India as well as in the wider international markets and particularly the UK.”
“The new logo is full of energy, giving our brand a more modern look. Green is the colour of the future. The logo also has a liquefied, fluid-like feel to it. It gives the feeling that the company is on the move and can take any shape and form.”
He added, “Videocon has completely adapted to our new tagline, ‘Experience change’, in every sphere of our operating domain. Since we are also extremely environmentally-aware as a company, green is the new colour to bank today, and in the future too.”
